Our Mission

At CPR Soldiers, our mission is to transform postcode 4213 into the safest area in Australia for cardiac arrest emergencies.

We are committed to strategically installing defibrillator machines throughout the region, ensuring every resident has immediate access to life-saving equipment.

Our goal is to empower the community by training as many residents as possible in competent and confident CPR.

We aim to provide a clear and effective action plan for bystanders, enabling swift and positive responses that significantly enhance the chances of survival and recovery.

Stuart Legg

Stuart has worked for almost 18 years, as the Hinterland’s most successful Real Estate Agent.

After discovering he has a minor genetic heart defect, it came to Stuart’s attention that the community that has helped his business thrive over the years, was sadly lacking in both CPR trained residents and access to defibrillators. It was then that the vision started and CPR Soldiers was born, with the development of a training schedule, which plans to train 1,000 local residents in CPR and to install high quality defibrillators, into residential areas of 4213, within lifesaving access time for of all members of our community.

CPR Soldiers on 9NEWS Gold Coast

These days as we get older or placed under more stress there's the potential threat of having a heart attack. Patrina Zaffer went to check out the neighbourhood taking affirmative action.

Most people learn resuscitation as part of a job or through a community organisation. Now the residents of Clover Hill are recruiting and training their very own CPR army.

We need a defibrillator on a patient as soon as we can because that's going to be the thing that's going to get their heart started again.

I (Stuart Legg) had a bit of a heart scare back in November and of all the people around me in the room, none of them knew CPR and I was really clueless as to where the nearest Defib was and whilst I was in hospital it got me thinking about the local community here and the gap between that triple zero.
